Genealogy Notes

Making notes about things like family history takes many forms. This is an envelope written by my late Grandmother Roberta Violet Cook Redding. She was clearly thinking through the different generations, when and how and where people were born and died. It’s an artifact like any other one might find on a historic site. I just happen to scan and save it digitally instead of sealing it up and putting it in a case in museum. Then again, maybe someday when humans have been around a million more years, who knows, this envelope could become the only remnant left of this era. 🙂
