A lot of people complain, yes complain about their jobs a lot. There seems to be nothing to find that’s good or even ever-so-slightly positive about the hours of their lives they trade for money. I like my job. It’s not perfect. There are always politics at work, office dramas as prescribed by the laws of nature, and the ever present “Is this REALLY what I want to be doing with my life?” feeling every once in a while.
I can list a lot of the positives about my job, but it’s hard to describe sometimes. So, I’ll look upwards, really upwards to find something groovy about my job. Well, it’s not my job exactly, but it’s where my job is contained for the 12 hours a day I am there to do my duties. The building I work in is the Harry S. Truman Building in Jefferson City, MO. It was built in the early 80′s and has a certain style that you have to see to appreciate.
Here are a few shots I took one day while going to another good thing about my job, the building’s restaurant, for my lunch.
From the view of the escalator.
