I love my husband. My husband is British. He loves dance and electronic music. His request for a Union Jack painting came to me as this fun “YEA” kind of thing. The hand is the outline of my very own wife hand:) The scrambly lines are my style. I don’t do perfect very well so I like to wabble them up a bit.
The thing is, he doesn’t like it. He loves the Union Jack, but the hand bugs him. He sees it as unfinished, empty. I get it. I don’t agree, but I get it. I tried to visualize his recommendations to fill it in with color, or designs, or more Union Jack designs, but nothing works. SO, this painting will stay as it is, a fun dancing Ravey kind of vibe and a new painting will begin tomorrow.
That’s the thing about art, it is what it is and I love it. More is better. Another is a chance to do more more more.
