Ashley Painting – From Aunt to Niece

Here is the work in progress of a painting that is a gift for my niece Ashley. She asked for art for her Christmas present. You can see by the date that Christmas 2011 has passed and I am now hoping for an Independence Day deadline:)

The brief, flowery but not too flowery, my “style of lines”, lilies are a favorite flower, there will be a fish tank in the room, black and white, big, horizontal….and there was mention of turtles, bubbles, etc. I might have to trim some ideas. So far I have managed this and am pondering over it day after day.

A challenge I have set for myself is that it can be hung in any direction. I know that might sound like a novelty, but I like for my art to be versatile and after a while if it gets a bit ho-hum to look at it everyday, well, you can just spin it around and have a whole new perspective of it.

Some people are compelled to duplicate nature on their canvases, I just like it to be outside the window.

Ingredients….

….and ingredients.

Complete and another completed one just for fun.

Hi there, I was wondering if you have any more photos /a portfolio of your work, and if these pieces are for sale. If so, for how much? Thanks! Olivia @ Vitality vegan/vegetarian cafe
